About Us

New Creation is a local non-denominational church with a global Kingdom perspective. We are intimate enough to get to know you and your family, and large enough to impact the Greater Baltimore community, the nation and the world. Our Pastor's vision is to righteously impact this and future generations with the Word of God to bring about positive changes in every area of our lives. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, gave us a charge and commission to keep, until He returns for His Bride, the Church.

Our Motto

Changing Lives through the Life Changing Gospel of Christ Jesus

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the most powerful answer to the needs of all mankind, regardless of ethnicity, sexuality, age, color or background. Jesus says, "Whosoever will let him come unto Me, and I will give him rest."

THE HOLY BIBLE:

The Holy Bible, [The Authority of the Scripture - both Old and New Testaments], is the infallible, inerrant Word of God. We accept the Bible as our guide in all matters of faith and practice. It is living and active and the written revelation of God to man.

- II Timothy 3:15-17, I Peter 1:23-25 -

THE TRINITY:

We believe in One God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, whose Trinity consists of three members or persons.

The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit

  • Jesus Christ the Son and only Begotten of the Father, the Savior of the World.
  • The Holy Spirit, the executor of the Godhead on Earth and in the Church.

CIVIL GOV'T:

God is the author of all authority. He has ordained civil government for the establishment of order and peace in the nations. We believe that rulers and authorities should be held in high regard, prayed for, and obeyed except when they are in opposition to the Word of God.

THE CHURCH:

The Church is required to love one another as Christ loved us (John 15:12) and that we should endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. . until we all come into the unity of the Faith.

- Ephesians. 4:3,13 -

MARRIAGE:

That God, not Government, has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin.

OUR HISTORY

SMALL BEGINNINGS

  1. Founded in 1968 by Chief Apostle Aaron B. Claxton and Dr. Deborah J. Claxton, with a small group of family and friends
  2. Gathered in the Claxton's home until 1969 when we purchased our first building
  3. By 1975 we outgrew our first building, and moved into our second building
  4. Due to exponential growth, we began our search for a larger facility in the Summer of 1985
  5. Moved into our current building in the Fall of 1985. The church is currently in an expansion project, following a mandate from the Lord to “Expand for the Harvest”.
