B351 – THE HARMONY OF THE GOSPELS:

Credits: 4 (12-week course)   |     Start Date: March 29, 2022, Tuesday     |       Class: Undergraduate Course

TextbooksTBA

Description: This course is research into every phase of the life of Christ. It is an un-biased analysis that brings out the inner movements of the history, towards that long-delayed, but foreseen and inevitable collision, in which beyond all other instances, the wrath of man is made to praise God. It departs from the age-old plan of following the feasts as the turning points in the life of Jesus. The textbook for this course is “What the Bible is all About”  by Henrietta Mears.

B211/B511 – THROUGH THE BIBLE I – LAW AND HISTORY:

Credits: 4 (12-week course)    |     Start Date: March 31, 2022, Thursday    |     Class: Undergraduate/Graduate Course

Textbook: TBA

Description: This is a four credit course that covers the five books of the law (Torah) and the twelve books of Hebrew history. The student will learn many valuable lessons in spirituality, geography, chronology, canonicals, law, and the general structure of the ancient Middle East culture. This course is necessary to understand the foundation of our Christian faith.

Professor A. Bryan Claxton

B221/B558 – The Book of ACTS I:

Credits: 4 (12-week course)     |      Start Date: March 29, 2022, Tuesday     |     Class: Undergraduate/Graduate Course

Textbook: TBA

Description: This course covers the beginning of church history which was initiated and propagated by the power and presence of the Acts of the Holy Spirit. This is an exciting book which highlights the ministry of the Apostle Peter as it examines the first twelve chapters, from the ascension of Christ to the beginning of the missionary journeys to the Gentiles. In addition to the Bible (KJV or NKJV), it is recommended that the student make use of a Bible encyclopedia, a Bible dictionary, and other reference materials.

Professor Theresa Ward

MSJ502 – JESUS IN THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES: The Identity of the Messiah:

Credits: 4 (12-week course)      |      Start Date: March 31, 2022, Thursday      |       Class: Graduate Course

Textbook: TBA

Description: This four credit course is a concise study of the names and appearances of God in the Old Testament from a Messianic Jewish perspective.  More precisely, it is a scholarly, investigative work about the One in the Godhead who manifested Himself as a man in numerous accounts throughout the Hebrew Scriptures to men and women, and they did not die. Who is this “Angel” who spoke and appeared, and caused a prophetic event to be fulfilled, then disappeared from sight? What were the circumstances of His appearing, and why? Is there only one name of God, or many?
