NEW CREATION’S STATEMENT ON

MARRIAGE, GENDER, AND SEXUALITY

New Creation Christian Church, Inc. (“NCCC”) believes that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and only authoritative Word of God; and it is to be the rule of faith and life for all humanity. We believe the Bible is the record that God has given of Himself; and contains the only record of eternal salvation for lost mankind. Consistent with these beliefs NCCC stands strong in upholding the clear, unambiguous message of faith regarding the sanctity of marriage, gender and sexuality.

We believe that one’s body is a Temple (1 Cor. 3:16) and the term “marriage” has only one meaning, and that is marriage sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, covenant union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 1:27, 2:23-24; Matt. 19:4-6) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other; and that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage. Gen. 2:23-24; Matt. 19:5) We declare our opposition to any deviation from traditional marriages of male and female, notwithstanding the rulings of the court systems of the land in support of same-sex unions.

NCCC condemns unreservedly all expressions of personal sexual experience that proves contrary to the definite and unalterable function ascribed to sex by God’s ordinance. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10.) We believe that heterosexuality is the intention of God for creation and declare any sexual behavior outside of His plan to be intrinsically sinful on the basis of Holy Scripture. (Romans 1:26-32, I Cor. 6.)

We believe that the church must guard against oversimplifying Christian morality yet reach people where they are. NCCC endeavors with Christian love and with gentle evangelistic skill to offer redemptive help to those bound by sin in full confidentiality. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity and should not be allowed to deteriorate morally and spiritually. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.)

NCCC stands against any form of evil, including prejudice, bigotry and violence. We believe that moral disagreement is not a license for slander or harassment of any contrary group but we cannot affirm samesex unions, and/or transgenderism as God’s will for followers of Jesus Christ. Therefore, anyone unwilling to repent of or practicing a lifestyle contrary to Holy Scripture will not be accepted as a member of NCCC. NCCC understands that its non-tolerance stance against sin will offend some, however we will not condone any conduct and/or behavior that is contrary to Holy Scripture.
